GreenPE Mailing Bags

We’re all about innovation, particularly if it means good news for the planet. That’s why we’re proud to be the first UK manufacturer to produce mailing bags using GreenPE: a thermoplastic resin, made from sugarcane. Renewable. Recyclable. And ultimate product performance.  

Unlike other ‘green’ products, GreenPE’s sustainability claims are evidenced in a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) from source to production. The natural ingredient, sugarcane, is a water efficient crop that sequesters carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. In a nutshell, for each kilogram of green plastic produced using this method, saves 2.85kg of CO2, compared to using conventional oil-based polythene. 

We proudly work with Braskem, the pioneers behind GreenPE and official partners of UNSECO’s World Engineering Day. Their work in advancing bio-based materials such as bio-based GreenPE has earned recognition for contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
